DELIVERANCE FROM TROUBLES

Text: Job 5:17-20
Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole. He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.

No one can claim never to have gone through one trouble or the other in his life. Trouble is an experience common to everybody. People experience troubles for two reasons.

1. Human errors and inadequacies.

Trouble comes as a consequence of sin and failure to do things rightly. A lot of people are going through marital problems because they lived wrong kind of lives and chose wrong partners. Health problems, financial problems, psychological problems, mental problems, etc are all results of human inadequacies.
When an individual indulges in wrong things, God will allow that person to pass through troubles to discipline and correct him. This is the position of Job when he penned down the above scriptures.
God allows troubles in order to help His people.

2. External Forces.

This is the kind of trouble sponsored by Satan with the sole aim of destroying us.
He can use situations, negative experiences, wicked people etc to trouble us. At times, he uses our close allies against us. You start to wonder why things are the way they are and why certain people are doing certain things against you. It is the enemy at work.
Whatever kind of trouble and wherever it comes from, God has promised to deliver us from them all.
'He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.' -Job 5:19-20.
When God is correcting you, don't be adamant to correction. Don't watch the devil destroy you with situations.
Cry to God in your troubles and God will surely deliver you.
Stay blessed.

Scriptures meditation:

Psalms 50:15
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
Psalms 9:9-11
The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.

Faith confession:

I declare over my life, home, career and ministry that no calamity will befall us. The angels of God are watching over us and are fighting for us. God has freed us from every trouble.

My prayers for you:

May God deliver you from everything that troubles your life in Jesus mighty name Amen.
